Why not match the Time and Date on both ?

I just recently added the black dial and I was planning on the white. For me, the black is certainly more subtle and versatile as mentioned. On the contrary, I believe the black is more legible and I looked at both in the natural light and indoor. Both are beautiful

Submariner forever!!! Fun fact!!! Ian Fleming's first Bond novel 'Casino Royale' published in 1953 and guess what??? He gives the literary James Bond-007 character a Rolex Submariner. In the films though, Bond goes thru a plethora of different watches starting with 'Dr.NO'-1963 Sean Connery starts him off with guess what??? A Rolex Sub!!!

At my AD the Yachtmaster II is a hotter watch than GMTMaster II, luckily I got a white gold one at retail no wait, so I don't get why it's so unpopular compared to strange looking Pepsi or Batgirl.

Very well designed Rolex, has the classic timeless design of the submariner with all the latest improvements that made it to the Yachtmaster. Doesn’t wear too large because the case is sleek this is the everyday day understated top end Rolex. Looks good with a hoodie or a suit. Not bling but high end time piece.

Do you think the YM 40mm will be discontinued in a few years? The fact that platinum is expensive and the production of 42mm Titanium YM increases this expectation.

For me the 40 works best. I also wear my datejust 36 in the office and my daytona on the weekends. I have owned the 41 but for me it just actually feels bigger, to a point where my daytona felt small. I think i might add the 40 to my collection again, its a shame I traded that for the 41. But thats just my experiance, since I have a rather small wrist. Great video as always

The 40mm was a mistake that the 41mm rectifies.

I’ve owned both. No date first then the date. I much prefer the date. The bezel sits more centered to the case and doesn’t lean so much to the left. Also the date window adds an element of sparkle and domed warping I just love.

This is informative but there is one tiny inaccuracy. Minutes do not remain the same for India and Myanmar. I just bought this watch, BTW. It's great.

I have both of these exact models. Couldn't decide which i wanted more so I bought both. I will say that I do wear the black a bit more often than all my watches. (I also have a sub.). the black gets most wrist time because it is more understated and suits most of the situations i find myself in. Also I will say that though the white has better legibility that is not the case in low light. Believe it or not the black is more visible in low to no light because the lume stands out more against the flat black dial. I have worn both of these watches and i sleep in my watches so I know how they both perform in low light. Most of those who talk legibility on the polar are just taking it at face value and not in real life and may not have the black one to compare it with...great vid!

I wonder if the platinum on the sub turnes as different color like my Deepsea I'm sick of my good things fucking up I hope it's only dirt and needs a polish it is 7 years old now it's the platinum inlays that need a polish on the bezel

i tried on a second-hand 40mm. it makes a tremendous difference. the current 41mm is too big for me and loses focus. it seems sprawling. the 40mm was perfect. it felt right and looked right. i even found it meaningfully easier to read the time, since it's brings the periphery of the dial closer together. i simply can't believe how such a small difference changes everything, but it does. i don't like buying second-hand techology, so i hope rolex re-introduces the 40mm. they can put titanium in it and other latest-and-greatest engineering, and they should certainly keep the micro-adjust bracelet that might not have been there in earlier generations. but the 40mm proportions are spectacular and should be revisited. 40mm no-date, bought new with the latest technology is what i want.

It's funny that I like the look of Annual Calendar (especially 5205) more than Perpetual as the dial is not too busy but you get enough essential complications...

I watches are tools. The gmt is the king of the ring. Double directional bezel for timing anything. 4th hand for global timing. Even if you’re not traveling. To check in with significant others as to their whereabouts in the world. An hr timer for the slow cooker. He indicator for a workout or lunch brake. It’s the most versatile watch to keep time of everything

Rolex Deepsea is for me I have 1 it's a beatiful watch it's a marvel of a watch how they made it so waterproof is amazing I would love to see the helium escape valve work with the button pushed out and letting the gas escape the watch the monicules are very tiny it's an enginering marvel watch it goes down 3900 meters to the sea it's pretty good I would never go down that far I would die but my Deepsea would not be broken it would be fine great watch no 1 dive watch on earth I love it it looks so cool when I'm wearing it it stands out it's my good watch for special occasions I got mine in 2017 it's 7 years old now and I have not had 1 problem with it Rolex the best

You didn't do your due diligence. Not only did the 14060m upgrade it's movement but also was completely luminnova opposed to tritium.

Very well put video. Although I own the 124060 I chose it for the very same reasons. I don't mind the cyclops on a Datejust but on a Submariner - no date.
